Upon the recommendations of various designers & textile scholars both here & abroad, Ismail Mohammad Khatri, the head of the Ajrakh organization, received an honorary doctorate degree ("Doctor of Arts") from De Montfort university in the U.K., for his work as an Ajrakh printer.
